Coming In To Land

One of those end-of-the-season evenings on Brighton esplanade when the holidaymakers have all gone home and the seagulls reclaim their rightful territory. An earlier version of this painting was entitled "Taking Off" and was almost a mirror image of this one. Some of the seagulls are quite surprised to find themselves in another painting but facing the other way.
