Window Gallery, at Turner Dumbrell Workshops in Ditchling, is home to Philip Dunn’s studio, gallery and picture framing workshop.
Even though Philip has now lived in Ditchling for 25 years,he is still best known for his always optimistic, vibrant and evocative paintings of Brighton’s seafront, with its esplanade and beach, as well as the Birdcage Bandstand and Royal Pavilion. These have earned Philip Dunn a reputation over several decades as “Brighton’s favourite artist”. In particular, his dazzling depictions of colourfully striped deckchairs have become a symbol of the city, whether they are shown empty and abandoned or plumply occupied, and with whatever the British seaside weather can throw at them. In 2019, Philip was awarded 'Highly Commended Artist of the Year' by the Artist Open Houses association.....of which he is a founder member.
Philip also offers a personal and comprehensive, competitively priced bespoke picture framing service.
