Window Gallery in Unit 9 is home to Philip Dunn’s studio, gallery and picture framing workshop.
Even though Philip Dunn has lived in Ditchling for over 20 years now, he is still best known for his always optimistic, vibrant and evocative paintings of Brighton’s seafront, with its esplanade and beach, as well as the Birdcage Bandstand and Royal Pavilion, which have earned Philip Dunn a reputation over several decades as “Brighton’s favourite artist”. In particular, his dazzling depictions of colourfully striped deckchairs have become a symbol of the city, whether they are shown empty and abandoned or plumply occupied, and with whatever the British seaside weather can throw at them. In 2019, Philip achieved a 'Highly Commended Artist of the Year' award by the Artist Open Houses association.
Philip also offers a personal and comprehensive, competitively priced bespoke picture framing service.
