A New Chapter

Having opened Window Gallery regularly for well over 40 years in its various locations over that time, albeit with slowly diminishing opening hours more recently, Philip now has his freedom back at last.

While he will continue to frame and sell his own original paintings, prints, and cards, he will also continue to offer his bespoke picture framing service. That is, if you’re not in a hurry and speak to him nicely.

At the end of May 2025, Philip celebrated his 80th birthday Having been painting for 65 years, he’s certainly not stepped away from his passion. Instead, he has moved his studio home from his gallery space at Turner Dumbrell Workshops to his home just up the road.

A new era has beckoned! He may paint, he may garden, he may write his memoirs.....or a combination of all three. What he will definitely do is to enjoy more freedom. He will savour more time at home, and plan travels with his wife Veryan, and their beloved Dachshund, Panache, and Jester, their sweet rescued Cockerlier. (In between doing all this, he will continue to sell his work via his website, and arrange appointments with clients at his home studio, and maybe even frame their pictures).

Philip extends his heartfelt thanks to all his clients for the many creative and inspiring projects they’ve entrusted him with over the years and for each and every purchase, however large or small.
